Learn About Stress Mapping This National Stress Awareness Month

This Year’s National Stress Awareness Month

Every day, each of us faces stress. It can come from work, school, family, and external factors. While many of us believe that we have our stress under control, it can still become overwhelming at times. That’s why E3 Consulting is celebrating Stress Awareness Month, which takes place throughout the entirety of April.

This year’s theme is 30 Day Challenge, where the Stress Management Society suggests finding a healthy coping mechanism for each facet of your well-being. Of your well-being, the three categories are physical, mental, and emotional health. For the challenge, choose one action in each category that you’ll carry out all month. The idea is to form healthier habits that stick with you past the end of April. By committing to performing these actions, you’re committing to a healthier lifestyle full of many ways to handle stress through proper outlets.

E3 Consulting’s Stress Mapping Executive Monitoring

E3 Consulting helps manage stress through our Executive Monitoring Service. This form of technology uses body sensors to track, combine, analyze, and synchronize bio data streams about a user’s stress level, heart rate, respiration rate, and activity level. All of this information can be conveniently viewed on popular mobile devices, giving users the ability to track their health in real time on a day-to-day basis.

Other Ways to Mitigate Stress

Beyond analyzing your stress through our stress mapping software, E3 also knows there are plenty of ways to lower the stress levels of either yourself or those around you. Below are some common ways people best mitigate their stress!

Talk to Others

Having someone who can lend an ear during troubled times is essential for mental health and stability. Take time to process your emotions on your own, and try to find effective wording that will communicate your feelings best. Then, share your thoughts with someone and see what they may have to say! If no one is nearby, giving friends a phone call or video chatting them is just as helpful.

Foster Welcoming Environments

Whenever possible, try to add positive energy to your surroundings. Everyone around you is undoubtedly going through something that is causing them stress, and it’s best to keep empathy a priority. Make it a point to help other people feel welcomed, and allow friends to share their stories without interrupting. Encourage cohesiveness, invite new friends to join your activities, and do things as an inclusive group.

Share Tips and Tricks

Each of us has unique ways of handling our stressors, and that information can be beneficial to others. While online resources have a host of ideas, sometimes the tips that work best are those recommended by friends, family, and coworkers. If someone you know is feeling tense, try providing them with some of your favorite ways to destress. Hopefully you’ll give them some new ideas!
