At E3 Consulting, we design and tailor ergonomic programs around the individual and the company’s short and long term goals. We achieve this by designing personalized ergonomic recommendations and training employees who work in the office, at home, and/or remotely. We are concerned with understanding the interaction among people in order to obtain a more productive and comfortable work environment. At E3 Consulting Corporation, we offer a variety of ergonomic services, listed below:

  • ONLINE PRE-EVALUATION SURVEY

    E3 recommends that an employee start the ergo process by taking a 3 to 5 minute online web-based ergonomic pre-evaluation survey via E3's website. This online evaluation will identify whether or not you are considered a low, moderate, and high-risk individual as well as the type and scope of ergonomic problems currently found in your workplace. The ergonomic pre-evaluation will document each employee(s):

    • Background information (i.e. name, length in current job, hand dominance, etc.)
    • Work habits and work process
    • Identifies the types of task the employee(s) perform
    • Identifies the types of tools needed based on user’s existing & future technology requirements and ergonomic needs
    • Provides forecasting & space planning requirements based on ergonomic needs

    In addition, the ergonomic pre-evaluation provides a "snapshot" of the organization enabling the client to prioritize where to commit resources to those individuals who need assistance.

    Upon completion of the pre-evaluation, employees will receive a message via e-mail containing a customized list of minimal ergonomic suggestions designed to permit each employee to immediately take steps to reduce their discomfort without the purchasing of products.

    Once the Pre-Evaluation has been completed, E3 Consulting will examine the results and contact the user to begin a Virtual (i.e. Video/Phone) Evaluation and/or provide an in-depth Onsite One-on-One Ergonomic Evaluation with Report and Recommendations if needed.

  • VIRTUAL ERGONOMIC EVALUATIONS

    An E3 Senior consultant will perform a 20-30 minute Skype/Phone Interview (i.e. Virtual Ergonomic Evaluation) which includes:

    • Reviewing & observing workstation setup via through video and/or photographs
    • Requesting workstation measurements from end user
    • Identify employee work techniques and work habits
    • E3 will demonstrate during the evaluation (thru Video or Photos) proper ways to adjust the height of user’s chair, keyboard, mouse, and discuss the correct distance the monitor should be placed from user
    • E3 will generate written report and provide product recommendations and suggestions (if needed) for each employee evaluated
    • E3 will provide a 30 Day Follow-Up email and review of each evaluated employee to monitor their progress and make adjustments to the ergonomic solutions when appropriate.

  • ONSITE ONE-ON-ONE ERGONOMIC EVALUATIONS

    An E3 Senior consultant will perform a 30-45 minute Onsite One-on-One Ergonomic Evaluation and Training:

    • Observing and photograph the employee's work techniques and work habits
    • E3 will make suggestions and show each employee how to improve poor work techniques and habits
    • E3 will demonstrate during the evaluation (or in an Ergo Lab) proper ways to adjust the height of user’s chair, keyboard, mouse, and discuss the correct distance the monitor should be placed from user
    • E3 will generate written report and provide product recommendations and suggestions (if needed) for each employee evaluated
    • E3 will provide Customer with a Weekly Status Reports detailing the work performed;
    • E3 will provide a 30 Day Follow-Up email and review of each evaluated employee to monitor their progress and make adjustments to the ergonomic solutions when appropriate.

  • SET UP A PRE-APPROVED ERGONOMIC PRODUCT AND FURNITURE GUIDELINE STANDARD LIST (I.E. ERGO PLAYBOOK)

    E3 recommends a sampling of a company’s employees be interviewed and observed within their new or existing space and asked questions regarding employees work process, current and future ergonomic workstation requirements. Each interview with require 30 minutes of the employees time. From the analysis, E3 will provide a written guideline of what ergonomic product solutions will work best based on employees work process and technology requirements.

    E3 will then encourage the company to create an ergonomic team (consisting of representation from Facilities, Designers, EH&S, Human Resources, I.T., and Purchasing). The team is asked to review all ergonomic product recommendations (i.e. chair, keyboard tray, IT ergo items, sit to stand furniture, etc.) mock ups and provide feedback, prior to creating an ergonomic playbook. E3 can also coordinate all vendor ergonomic mock ups on behalf of the company.

    E3 will assemble the final ergonomic Playbook/Pre-Approved product standard and list in a digital format. The format will consist of a product description, product number, product price, and confirmed product lead times. The digital catalogue will be updated by E3 to reflect any product changes required by company.

  • ERGONOMIC LAB/TESTING CENTERS

    E3 can help develop and coordinate the design of a company’s Ergonomic Lab/Testing Center. The Lab will only debut Pre-Approved Ergonomic Products and Furniture that have been tested and approved by company’s Human Resources, EH&S, Designers, Facilities, and Purchasing Departments. E3 recommends companies utilize the lab during all ergonomic evaluations to allow the employee to test out and demo products prior to any purchase. In addition, the Ergo Lab is intended to demonstrate the new changes and workstation set up that needs to take place to help reduce user’s discomfort:

    • E3 will design and develop the look and fill of Company’s Ergo Lab/Testing Centers
    • E3 will advise and recommend the appropriate products that should be displayed in the lab to reflect minimal, moderate, and optimal ergonomic corrections
    • E3 will coordinate and schedule all vendors that might able to donate products to Companies’ Ergo Lab
    • E3 will research and keep Company’s Ergo Lab updated with the latest ergonomic products that exist in the industry
